Itinerary:

Susquehanna Water Gaps

Start this paddle at the mouth of the Juniata River and follow it until a mile past mini Statue of Liberty.

This section of the Middle Susquehanna, just north of Harrisburg, has much to offer in history and sightseeing, with several significant landmarks, islands abundant with birds and wildlife, and some exciting river rapids at the Dauphin Narrows.

Navigational Hazards: Due to class 2 rapids at Dauphin Narrows, only paddlers with moderate experience and above should attempt this itinerary.
